Natural Wine Bar in Gràcia, Barcelona

Bodega Solera is a neighbourhood wine bar on the edge of Gràcia and the Eixample. We pour over 500 natural wines, most of them by the glass, alongside tapas made with produce from around here. Locals come on weeknights. Visitors are just as welcome — you will simply be sitting next to the neighbours.

What makes it a natural wine bar

Natural wine is made with as little intervention as possible: grapes farmed without synthetic chemicals, fermentation with native yeasts, little or no added sulphites, no aggressive filtering. The result is livelier, more unpredictable, and it tastes of somewhere in particular.

We taste every bottle before it goes on the list, and the selection rotates weekly. If you have never tried natural wine, say so — there are gentle places to start, and we would rather point you to one than watch you order something that puts you off for good.

Served by the glass, so you can explore

Most of our list is available by the glass. That matters: you can try three very different wines in one sitting without committing to a full bottle of something you are unsure about.

We work almost entirely with small producers, many of them Catalan, and with references you will not find on every wine list in Barcelona.

Andalusian roots, Catalan produce

The place started from a specific idea: an Andalusian family arriving in 1960s Barcelona and opening a neighbourhood bodega. That is why the room looks the way it does — long bar, bottles in plain sight, and a corner devoted to Lola Flores.

The kitchen sits where those two traditions meet: Catalan and Andalusian cooking, with more than 200 artisan cheeses, acorn-fed Iberian charcuterie and tapas built to be shared across the table.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to book?

No. Most of our guests walk in and sit at the bar. For larger groups, email us at info@bodegasolera.com and we will organise the table and a selection of wines and tapas.

Is it a restaurant or a bar?

Both, and you can treat it either way. Come for one glass at the counter, or stay for dinner. Nobody will rush you.

Do you speak English?

Yes. We serve in Spanish, Catalan and English.

Is it suitable for children?

It is an adult-oriented bar built around a counter, so it is not really set up for families with young children.
